Route Nationale 6 (Madagascar)
Route nationale 6 (RN6) is a primary highway in Madagascar of 706 km, running from Antsiranana to Ambondromamy. It crosses the regions of Diana Region, Diana and Sofia Region, Sofia. It was paved in 1992. Most parts of this road are paved and well maintained but there are some unpaved sections in a very bad shape. A milestone is a numbered marker placed on a route such as a road, railway, railway line, canal or border, boundary. They can indicate the distance to towns, cities, and other places or landmarks like Mileage sign, mileage signs; or they can give their position on the route relative to some datum location. On roads they are typically located at the side or in a Central reservation, median or central reservation. They are alternatively known as mile markers (sometimes abbreviated MMs), mileposts or mile posts (sometimes abbreviated MPs). Maromandia is a town and commune () in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Analalava, which is a part of Sofia Region. Mahajangā (French: Majunga) is a city and an administrative district on the northwest coast of Madagascar. The city of Mahajanga (Mahajanga I) is the capital of the Boeny Region. The district (identical to the city) had a population of 258,068 in 2020. City Mahajanga is a seaport, the second most important one in Madagascar after Toamasina.
