Route 371 is a highway in western Missouri. Its southern terminus is at Route 273 north of Tracy. Its northern terminus is at Route 752 in St. Joseph. It is a former alignment of U.S. Route 71 (US 71). Route description Route 371 is a highway that begins in St. Joseph, Missouri and ends in Tracy, north of Platte City. It begins at an intersection with Route 752. After this point, the highway stays mostly parallel and relatively close to I-29/US 71 It then intersects with Route H and shortly after Route A. Faucett is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southern Buchanan County, Missouri, United States. It is located sixteen miles north of Platte City on Interstate 29 (Missouri)/U.S. Route 71. The community is part of the St. Joseph, MO– KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 248 at the 2020 census. Faucett derives its name from Robert Faucett, who was a local miller when the Chicago Great Western Railroad established the community in 1890. A post office called Faucett has been in operation since 1891. The community's most notable landmark is the Farris Truck Stop on Interstate 29, which has a 1974 Peterbilt truck, with a 1965 Fruehauf trailer standing 50 feet high to advertise the truck stop. New Market is a census designated place in northern Platte County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It lies within the Kansas City metropolitan area. The population was 88 at the 2020 census. The community is located on Missouri Route 371 about 1.5 miles south of the Platte- Buchanan county line. Dearborn is two miles to the northeast across U.S. Route 71 and Bee Creek flows past the west side of the community. History New Market was originally named Jacksonville, and under the latter name was platted in 1830. A post office called New Market was established in 1839, and remained in operation until 1959. Platte City is a city in and the county seat of Platte County, Missouri, United States. The population was 4,784 at the 2020 census. The city is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. History Platte City was founded by Zadock "Zed" Martin and was incorporated as a city in September 1843. On December 16, 1861, Colonel W. James Morgan's Union Squad razed Platte City, including the courthouse.
