Alexandre Rouleau
Alexandre Rouleau (born July 29, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Former General Manager of major junior team in which he played, the Val-d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He is currently amateur scout for the Chicago Blackhawks. Playing career Rouleau was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. After spending four years between the ECHL and the AHL, Rouleau headed to Europe to play for Briançon of France's Ligue Magnus. After a season with Briançon, Rouleau joined Brûleurs de Loups in 2008. Rouleau was named Alternate Captain for Brûleurs de Loups during the 2010–11 and 2011-12 seasons. Joseph A. Rouleau, (February 28, 1929 – July 12, 2019) was a French Canadian Bass (voice type), bass opera singer, particularly associated with the Italian and French repertoires. Life and career Born in Matane, Quebec, he studied privately with Édouard Woolley and Albert Cornellier in Montreal, and at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal with Martial Singher. In 1950–1951, Joseph participated in his first tour with Jeunesses Musicales Canada, of 40 concerts across the province of Québec. He went to Milan, Italy, for complementary studies with Mario Basiola and Antonio Narducci. He sang small roles with the Opéra national du Québec, but his real debut was as Colline in ''La bohème'', in New Orleans Opera, in 1955. Duncan Rouleau is an American comic book writer and artist, and is a part of the Man of Action Studios collective of creators (along with Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Steven T. Seagle), who created the series ''Ben 10'', that aired on Cartoon Network. Career Rouleau has illustrated a variety of popular American comic books for Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Marvel Comics, and other publishers. Rouleau is a town in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, on the Canadian Prairies. It lies within census Division No. 6 and Rural Municipality of Redburn No. 130. As of 2021, the population was 505 (a decrease of 6.5 percent from the 2016 census), in an area of . Rouleau is on Highway 39 and is about southwest of Regina. The town was notably the filming location of the popular Canadian sitcom ''Corner Gas'', depicting the fictitious town of Dog River. Rouleaux (singular is rouleau) are stacks or aggregations of red blood cells (RBCs) that form because of the unique discoid shape of the cells in vertebrates. The flat surface of the discoid RBCs gives them a large surface area to make contact with and stick to each other; thus forming a rouleau. They occur when the plasma protein concentration is high, and, because of them, the ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) is also increased.
