Rotana Media Group, commonly known as Rotana (), is a Saudi Arabian entertainment company. It is primarily owned by Saudi prince Al Waleed bin Talal through Kingdom Holding Company. The media conglomerate includes a film production company (Rotana Studios), free to air television stations (Rotana TV), music channels (Rotana Radio), a record label ( Rotana Music Group) and others businesses. History Rotana was founded by Ibrahim Nagro and his brothers, with a 50% share to the Saudi business man Saleeh Kameel. In 2003, Al Waleed increased his stake to 100 percent, after initially acquiring a 48 percent stake in 2002. He developed Rotana Music Channel as a 24-hour free-to-air service for Rotana artists. Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi
The Beach Rotana is a grand resort in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Abu Dhabi. It a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and part of Rotana Hotels. It is a hotel complex made up of two wings in Abu Dhabi's tourist club area, Al Zahiyah. The Beach Wing which stands with seven floors includes 286 rooms and suites whilst the Tower wing is 20 floors high and includes 128 rooms and suites. The Beach wing was opened in 1993 and the Tower wing in 2002. The hotel was established as the Beach Hotel by Nasser Al Nowais and Selim El Zyr, with backing by the hotel owner, Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed. Rotana Jet ( ''Rūtānā Jat'') is an airline with its main base at Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi. Its corporate head office is located in the NOVOTEL Gate Hotel, Khor Al Maqta Gate City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. While it initially operated only executive charter flights; Rotana started scheduled flights to Sir Bani Yas island in June 2012 but suspended scheduled operations in 2017. Rotana Tarabzouni
Rotana Tarabzouni (born 1988/1989) is a Saudi singer, songwriter, and comedian based in Los Angeles. In 2015, she was named as one of the BBC 100 Women. Early life and education Tarabzouni was born and raised in a fairly liberal family in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. She enjoyed music and singing from a young age. Although she had restricted access to Western music, her family did listen to a radio station that played American music, as well as artists like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Nina Simone. She visited the United States during the summers, and bought CDs during the trips. Tarabzouni initially studied at a Saudi university, and studied abroad in Boston.
