Ross Metherell
Ross Metherell (born 30 September 1948) is an Australian professional golfer and golf coach. As a touring professional Metherell largely played in his home state of Western Australia, winning dozens of events including the Western Australian Open twice. Starting in the early 1980s Metherell began working as a golf coach which he would do for most of the remainder of his career. Late in his career, however, he had a brief rebirth as a touring professional, winning two events on the European Senior Tour in August 1999. Golf career Metherell is from Perth, Australia. Praia d'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort is a commercial tourism, golf and residential beach resort on Portugal's western Atlantic coast 106 kilometres north of the country's capital, Lisbon. Ladies European Tour
The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. The tour is run by a Board of Directors and a Players' Council. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. Praia D'El Rey European Cup
The Praia d'El Rey European Cup was an annual professional golf tournament played at Praia d'El Rey, Portugal. It was played in 1997, 1998 and 1999 between teams of men representing the European Seniors Tour and ladies representing the Ladies European Tour. There was no handicap but the men and women played off different tees. The men won the first event 13–7 in 1997 and retained the cup in 1998 after a 10–10 tie. Michael Slater (golfer)
Michael Jonathon Slater (born 21 February 1970) is an Australian former professional cricketer and former television presenter. He played in 74 Test matches and 42 One Day Internationals for the Australia national cricket team. Early life Slater was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and lived in both Wagga and Junee for his childhood. Belfry PGA Seniors Championship
The PGA Seniors Championship is a European Senior Tour golf tournament for men aged fifty and above. It was founded in 1957 and became part of the European Senior Tour on its founding in 1992. It was not held in 2016 or 2017 but returned in 2018 as the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship. It is the oldest important seniors tournament in Europe and, together with the Senior Open Championship, one of only two current events that predate the founding of the European Senior Tour in 1992. Bill Brask
William Jennings Brask Jr. (born December 12, 1946) is an American professional golfer. Although he did not have much success on the PGA Tour he won a number of minor international tournaments. Due to this success overseas – where they used a smaller golf ball – he was referred to as "the king of the small ball" by Lee Trevino. Early life Brask grew up in San Diego, California. He attended the University of Minnesota for college and played on the golf team. He was an All-American in 1967 and 1968. He won the Big Ten Championship in 1968 and finished third in the 1968 NCAA Championships. Professional career Brask successfully got through PGA Tour Qualifying School and played full-time on tour in 1970. David Huish
David Huish (born 23 April 1944) is a Scottish professional golfer, perhaps best known for being the halfway leader of The Open Championship in 1975. Personal life Huish (pronounced "hush") was born in North Berwick, Scotland. He married his second wife Diane in 1989 with whom he had a son, Oliver, in 1990. He also has two children from a previous marriage, Susan (b. 1967) and Martyn (1969). Career Huish turned professional in 1959, with his first job being as an assistant at Gullane. Kim Felton
Kim Felton (born 27 March 1975) is an Australian professional golfer. As an amateur, Felton won the Australian Amateur in 1997 and was the low individual in the 1998 Eisenhower Trophy. Felton turned professional in 1999 and played mainly on the PGA Tour of Australasia and its developmental Tour, the Von Nida Tour.
