Roslan Ahmad
Roslan bin Ahmad is a Malaysian people, Malaysian politician who served as Member and Deputy Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from March 2020 to November 2021 and Mohd Ali Rustam and Idris Haron as well as former Members Md Yunos Husin and Latipah Omar from April 2011 to the collapse of the BN state administration in May 2018 respectively. He also served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Merlimau (state constituency), Merlimau from March 2011 to November 2021. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. 2022 Malaysian General Election
General elections were held in Malaysia on Saturday, 19 November 2022. The prospect of snap elections had been considered high due to the political crisis that had been ongoing since 2020; political instability caused by coalition or party switching among members of Parliament, combined with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, contributed to the resignation of two prime ministers and the collapse of each of their respective coalition governments since the 2018 general elections. The term of the 14th Parliament was due to expire on 16 July 2023, five years after its first meeting on 16 July 2018. The 14th Malacca election was held on 9 May 2018 to elect the State Assemblymen of the 14th Malacca State Legislative Assembly, the legislature of the Malaysian state of Malacca. The Malacca State Legislative Assembly dissolved on 7 April 2018 by the Head of State (Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca) on the advice of the Head of Government (Chief Minister of Malacca). General elections were held in Malaysia on Sunday, 5 May 2013. Voting took place in all 222 parliamentary constituencies, each electing one MP to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. State elections also took place in 505 state constituencies in 12 of the 13 states (excluding Sarawak) on the same day. The elections were the first since Najib Razak became Prime Minister in 2009. The unofficial opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition led by Anwar Ibrahim received a majority of the vote, with its three member parties collectively receiving 50.9% of the vote.
