Rosey Yunus
Rosey binti Haji Yunus (born 16 January 1956) is a Malaysian politician and teacher who serves as the State Deputy Minister of Women, Family, Welfare, Community Wellbeing and Childhood Development of Sarawak since September 2011 and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bekenu since May 2006. She is the member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) since 2014. Education Rosey graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Hons) majoring in linguistic art with upper second-class honours and a Diploma of Education in 1980. Political career Rosey was first elected assemblywoman for Bekenu in the 2006 Sarawak state election. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. 2021 Sarawak State Election
The 2021 Sarawak state election, formally the 12th Sarawak general election, took place on 18 December 2021. This election was to elect 82 members of the 19th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 3 November 2021. As the previous assembly first sat on 7 June 2016, it was originally set to be dissolved automatically on 7 June 2021. However, the 2021 state emergency declaration, preceded by a federal 2021 Malaysian state of emergency declaration nationwide, arising from the 2020–21 political crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, suspended the automatic dissolution of the legislature until the proposed end of the emergency duration on 2 February 2022. Bekenu
Bekenu (also known as Bekenu Bazaar or Bakenu) is a small fishing town near Miri, in Sarawak, Malaysia. It lies approximately northeast of the state capital Kuching. The town has a few rows of shophouses, a fish market, several places to eat, and a pleasant esplanade. The town square faces the Bekenu river, and many of the shophouses date from the 1930s. The most serious recent flood in Bekenu was in 1962 when shops were flooded up to the first floor and people had to be rescued by fishermen in rowing boats.
