Roser Amadó
Roser Amadó i Cercós (22 January 1944 – 12 September 2023) was a Spanish architect. Biography Roser Amadó i Cercós studied at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona, with Lluís Domènech i Girbau. Amadó was responsible for the conversion of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies (1986–1990) and the new headquarters of the General Archive of the Crown of Aragon, Archive of the Crown of Aragon (1990–1993). They were also the project managers of the historic center of Lleida (1981–1984), consisting of the Palace of Justice, the elevator Canyeret, the Cervantes school and Marius Torres park. In 1992, for the Olympic Games in Barcelona, she designed the La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, the Eurocity 1 office building (1989–1992). La Vila Olímpica Del Poblenou
La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou or La Villa Olímpica (The Olympic Village of Poblenou) is a neighborhood in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Catalonia ( Spain). It was constructed in the late 1980s and early 1990s for the 1992 Summer Olympic Games which took place in Barcelona. Its construction was devised by Oriol Bohigas, David Mackay and Albert Puigdomènec as a residential area in the otherwise industrial and working-class district of Poblenou, which underwent regeneration but involved massive expropriation, as well as the destruction of a sizeable portion of the district, including Industrial Revolution factories of architectural value such as Fàbrica Foret. EuroCity, abbreviated as EC, is a cross-border train category within the European inter-city rail network. In contrast to trains allocated to the lower-level "IC" ( InterCity) category, EC trains are international services that meet 20 criteria covering comfort, speed, food service, and cleanliness. The Fundació Antoni Tàpies (, 'Antoni Tàpies Foundation') is a cultural center and museum, located in Carrer d'Aragó, in Barcelona, Catalonia. It is dedicated mainly to the life and works of the painter Antoni Tàpies. The Fundació was created in 1984 by the artist Antoni Tàpies to promote the study and knowledge of modern and contemporary art. It combines the organisation of temporary exhibitions, symposia, lectures and film seasons with a range of publications to go with the activities and periodic shows of Tàpies' work.
