Crow Indian Reservation
The Crow Indian Reservation is the homeland of the Crow Tribe. Established 1868, the reservation is located in parts of Big Horn, Yellowstone, and Treasure counties in southern Montana in the United States. The Battle of the Rosebud (also known as the Battle of Rosebud Creek) took place on June 17, 1876, in the Montana Territory between the United States Army and its Crow Nation, Crow and Shoshone, Shoshoni allies against a force consisting mostly of Lakota people, Lakota Sioux and Northern Cheyenne Native Americans in the United States, Indians during the Great Sioux War of 1876.
