Rosa Petit
Rosa Verónica Petit De Castillo is a Venezuelan politician, currently an alternate deputy of the National Assembly for the Amazonas state. Career Petit was elected as alternate deputy for the National Assembly for the Amazonas state for the 2016-2021 period in the 2015 parliamentary elections, representing the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD). In 2019 Petit was included in a list presented by deputy Delsa Solórzano of 123 deputies, between main and alternate, who have been victims of "violations of their human rights, as well as threats, intimidation or illegal suspension of their mandate in the current legislative period.". On 12 August of the same year, she announced his decision to join the A New Era party along with other deputies and leaders. A New Era
A New Era ( es, Un Nuevo Tiempo, UNT) is a centre-left political party in Venezuela. It received 11% of the vote in the 2008 regional elections. The party arose in Zulia State, Venezuela's most populous, and remains far stronger in its home region than elsewhere in the country, providing the state governor since 2000 (currently Pablo Pérez Álvarez, previously Manuel Rosales) and the mayor of its largest city, Maracaibo (since 2010, currently, Eveling Trejo de Rosales). 12 candidates of ''Un Nuevo Tiempo'' or supported by ''Un Nuevo Tiempo'' were elected deputies to the National Assembly out of 15 in the September 2010 legislative elections. National Assembly (Venezuela)
The National Assembly ( es, Asamblea Nacional) is the legislature for Venezuela that was first elected in 2000. It is a unicameral body made up of a variable number of members, who were elected by a "universal, direct, personal, and secret" vote partly by direct election in state-based voting districts, and partly on a state-based party-list proportional representation system. The number of seats is constant, each state and the Capital district elected three representatives plus the result of dividing the state population by 1.1% of the total population of the country. Three seats are reserved for representatives of Venezuela's indigenous peoples and elected separately by all citizens, not just those with indigenous backgrounds. 2015 Venezuelan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Venezuela on 6 December 2015 to elect the 164 deputies and three indigenous representatives of the National Assembly. The Democratic Unity Roundtable ( es, Mesa de la Unidad Democrática, MUD) was a catch-all electoral coalition of Venezuelan political parties formed in January 2008 to unify the opposition to President Hugo Chávez's United Socialist Party of Venezuela in the 2010 Venezuelan parliamentary election. A previous opposition umbrella group, the '' Coordinadora Democrática'', had collapsed after the failure of the 2004 Venezuelan recall referendum.
