Rory Scovel
Rory J. Scovel (born August 6, 1980) is an American comedian, actor, and writer. He released his first stand-up comedy album ''Dilation'' in 2011. He has since released the stand-up specials ''The Charleston Special'' (2015), ''Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time'' (2017), ''Live Without Fear'' (2021), and ''Religion, Sex, and a Few Things in Between'' (2024). As an actor, he began his career as part of the main cast on the sitcoms '' Ground Floor'' (2013–2015) and ''Those Who Can't'' (2016–2019), co-starred in the romantic comedy film '' I Feel Pretty'' (2018), and also appeared in and wrote for the comedy series ''The Eric Andre Show'' (2012–2016). Stand Up! Records is an American independent comedy record label founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by Grammy-winning producer Dan Schlissel. It has been called "the country's most respected indie comedy label." Stand Up! has released more than 200 comedy albums and videos since its founding in 2000, including albums by Lewis Black, Patton Oswalt, Greg Proops, David Cross, Maria Bamford, Hannibal Buress, Judy Gold, the Sklar Brothers, and Eddie Pepitone. Jonathan David Dore (born November 2, 1975) is a Canadian comedian and actor currently based in Juneau, Alaska. Seattle International Comedy Competition
The Seattle International Comedy Competition is a month-long stand-up comedy competition held at various venues throughout Washington State. It has been held every year since 1980 until 2020, when the competition was not run due to pandemic restrictions. Format Contestants are scored by a panel of judges, not by audience vote. 32 contestants are divided into two week-long heats. The 5 top-rated performers from each heat meet for a week of semi-final performances, and the top five of those compete in the finals week.
