Roots N Blues Festival
The Treeline Music Festival, previously known as the Roots N Blues Festival and Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival, is an annual music festival that takes place in Stephens Lake Park in Columbia, Missouri. The festival features international, national, regional and local artists, both established and emerging, from the genres of roots, blues, Gospel music, gospel, Country music, country, Folk_music, folk, Bluegrass music, bluegrass, Rock music, rock and Soul music, soul. The Roots N Blues Festival is a three-day event that is typically held during the last weekend of September. The festival includes over 30 live music performances on two stages, food and beverage vendors, craft vendors, a Ferris wheel and art installations. The SteelDrivers
The SteelDrivers are a bluegrass band from Nashville, Tennessee. Members include fiddler Tammy Rogers, bassist Mike Fleming, guitarist/vocalist Matt Dame, mandolinist Brent Truitt, and banjoist Richard Bailey. Past members include Kelvin Damrell, Chris Stapleton, Gary Nichols, and Mike Henderson. The Itals
The Itals are a Jamaican reggae vocal group formed in 1976 by Alvin "Keith" Porter, Lloyd Ricketts, and Ronnie Davis (formerly a member of The Tennors), all of whom had previously also recorded as solo artists. All three had worked together in the late 1960s in The Westmorelites. The group recorded several albums through the late 1970s and 1980s, with Ronnie Davis going on to a successful solo career in 1997 as Ronnie Davis and Idren. The Itals' debut single, "In A Dis Ya Time", is regarded as the group's finest work, and topped the Jamaican chart. 1987's ''Rasta Philosophy'' was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best Reggae Album. The line-up has changed over the years, with former solo artist David Isaacs joining in 1987 when Ricketts was sentenced to a prison term, preventing him from travelling to the United States. Black Joe Lewis (born Tucson, Arizona, United States) is an American blues, funk and soul artist influenced by Howlin' Wolf and James Brown. Daniel John Tyminski (born June 20, 1967) is an American bluegrass singer-songwriter and musician. He is a former member of Alison Krauss's band Union Station, and has released four solo albums, ''Carry Me Across the Mountain'' (2000) on the Doobie Shea Records label, ''Wheels'' (2008) on the Rounder Records label, ''Southern Gothic'' (2017) on the Mercury Records label, and ''God Fearing Heathen'' (2023) on the 8 Track Entertainment label. James "Slim" Hand (July 7, 1952 – June 8, 2020) was an American country music singer and songwriter. His musical style was often influenced by earlier honky Tonk and Texas country music acts such as Hank Williams, George Jones, and Lefty Frizzell. Early life James Edward Hand was born on July 7, 1952, in Waco, Texas. He was raised in the community of Tokio in McLennan County, Texas, and took to guitar playing and singing when approximately twelve years old. Dale Watson (born October 7, 1962) is an American country/ Texas country singer, guitarist, songwriter, and self-published author based in Marshall, Texas. Biography Watson was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved outside of Wilmington, North Carolina, when he was less than a year old. The family moved to Pasadena, Texas, in 1977. He was one of four boys. Watson's father and his brother, Jim, were both musically inclined and guided what have become his longstanding musical influences. Watson began writing his own songs at age 12, making his first recording two years later. Soon after, Watson became an emancipated minor. Roy Charles Hammond (August 3, 1939 – September 16, 2020), better known as Roy C or Roy "C", was an American southern soul singer, songwriter and record executive, best known for his 1965 hit, "Shotgun Wedding". Another song, " Impeach the President", which he recorded and produced with a high school group, the Honey Drippers, has had one of the most sampled drum tracks in hip hop music.
