Ronnel Arambulo
Ronnel Gondraneos Arambulo (born May 18, 1976) is a Filipino fisherman, environmentalist, and activist who is currently vice chaiperson of Pambasang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya Pilipinas (PAMALAKAYA, “National Force of Fisherfolk Movement in the Philippines”). In the 2025 Philippine Senate election, he ran under Makabayan. Early life and education Arambulo was born on May 18, 1976 in Malakaban, Binangonan, Rizal and graduated from Janosa National High School. He also enrolled in the University of Manila in 1995, before dropping out a year later. He also enrolled in the University of Rizal System in Angono, Rizal in 2005, before dropping out again a year later. Activism He was a member of Anakbayan from 2005 to 2006 and joined PAMALAKAYA in 2006. He also became chairperson of Anakpawis chapters in his municipality and province. 2025 Philippine General Election
The 2025 Philippine general election was held on May 12, 2025. During this midterm election, where the winners take office mid-way through the Presidency of Bongbong Marcos, term of President Bongbong Marcos, all 317 seats in the House of Representatives of the Philippines, House of Representatives and 12 of the 24 seats in the Senate of the Philippines, Senate were contested to form the 20th Congress of the Philippines. Local elections were also held for the executive and legislative branches in every Administrative divisions of the Philippines, province, city, and municipality in the country. Navotas
Navotas, officially the City of Navotas (), is a Cities of the Philippines#Legal classification, highly urbanized city in the Metro Manila, National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 Philippine census, 2020 census, it has a population of 247,543 people. It was formerly part of the Rizal (province), Province of Rizal in southern Luzon. Botolan, officially the Municipality of Botolan, is a municipality in the province of Zambales, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 66,739 people. The municipality was founded by Spanish Governor-General Juan de Salcedo in 1572. It is known for its relatively sizeable Aeta population, wide gray sand beaches, and its proximity to Mount Pinatubo. Etymology The name Botolan came from the a native variety of banana common in the area called "Boto-an".
