Ronde Van Zeeland
Ronde van Zeeland Seaports is a single-day road bicycle race held annually in Zeeland, Netherlands. The race was created in 2012, as a 1.1 race on the UCI Europe Tour The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing competitions which were introduced in 2005 by the Union Cycliste Internationale The Union Cycliste Internationale (; UCI; ) is the world governing body for sports cycling and ove ..., after financial issues curtailed the Delta Tour Zeeland stage-race, which had been held since 2008. The first race was won by South African rider Reinardt Janse van Rensburg of the team. The first three editions of the race were held in June, but for the 2015 edition, the race was moved to March. After 2015, the race was no longer held, but in 2017 was replaced with its spiritual successor, the Tacx Pro Classic. Zeeland (; ), historically known in English by the Endonym and exonym, exonym Zealand, is the westernmost and least populous province of the Netherlands. Reinardt Janse van Rensburg (born 3 February 1989) is a South African professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI Continental team . A two-time winner of the South African National Road Race Championships, Janse van Rensburg has competed professionally since 2010, having rode for (2013–2014), (2010–2012 and 2015–2021), and (2022). Iljo Keisse (born 21 December 1982) is a Belgian former racing cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2005 to 2022. Keisse races on the track and on the road, specializing himself until recently in riding six-day races. He notably has won the Six Days of Ghent seven times and reached the podium a total of 12 times. Biography Keisse was born in Ghent. Together with his teammate Matthew Gilmore, he won three Six-day races in 2005–2006: Grenoble, Ghent and Hasselt. Delta Tour Zeeland was a road bicycle stage race held annually in June in Zeeland, Netherlands. In 2008, the race was organized as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour as the organizers of the one-day race Delta Profronde and of the OZ Wielerweekend operated a fusion to create the stage race. The first winner of the race was the Australian Christopher Sutton and the last was German Marcel Kittel.
