Circus Roncalli is a German professional circus founded in 1976 by and André Heller. According to Paul, the name was suggested by fellow Austrian and his film script ''Sarah Roncalli, Tochter des Mondes'' arah Roncalli, Daughter of the Moon named after Pope John XXIII whose civil name was Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli. Paul and Heller agreed because of its pleasant sound and the pope's reform agenda. History The first performance of the circus was on 18 May 1976 on the ''Hofgartenwiese'' in Bonn, and the tour finished on 16 August 1976 in Munich. After the first season, Paul and Heller disagreed about the concept and rights, so that at a future performance on 4 June 1980 in Cologne, Bernhard Paul directed the circus on his own. Roncalli College is a Catholic college in Timaru, New Zealand. It was named after Pope John XXIII, whose birth name was Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli. It is a co-educational college with approximately 500 students from Year 9 to Year 13, and it is situated on Craigie Avenue, next to the Sacred Heart Basilica. It is set on of land with 13 free-standing buildings. It practices NCEA examinations for its senior students. In 2005, 87.7% of Roncalli students achieved NCEA Level 1, 70.3% achieved Level 2, 71.2% achieved Level 3, and 66.7% achieved university entrance. Cristoforo Roncalli
Cristoforo Roncalli (c. 1552–1626) was an Italian mannerist painter. He was one of the three painters known as ''Pomarancio'' or ''Il Pomarancio''. Life Roncalli was born in Pomarance, a town near Volterra. His training occurred in Tuscany, and around 1578, he relocated to Rome, Italy where he worked for Niccolò Circignani (also known as ''il Pomarancio''). Most of his fresco work was in Rome, though he worked for a decade in Loreto (1605–1615), where he decorated the New Sacristy. In Rome he decorated the cupola of the church of Santa Maria di Loreto and of San Silvestro in Capite. He helped decorate '' Santa Maria in Vallicella'' for the Oratory of San Filippo Neri. He also painted for the Oratory of Santissimo Crocifisso, the ''Baptism of Constantine'' and ''St. Simon'' in the transept of San Giovanni in Laterano, and designed the mosaics in the ''Cappella Clementina'' in the St. Peter's Basilica. Count Ludovico Giuseppe Antonio Filippo Roncalli, or simply Count Ludovico (1654–1713), was an Italian composer. Roncalli was born in Bergamo on 6 March 1654 and baptized at the church of San Pancrazio in the Città Alta in Bergamo on 8 June 1654. He was the younger son of Conte Giovanni Martino Roncalli (1626–1700) and brother of Francesco, Conte di Montorio (1645–1717). He was ordained to the priesthood and died in Bergamo on 25 August 1713. Pope John XXIII ( la, Ioannes XXIII; it, Giovanni XXIII; born Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli, ; 25 November 18813 June 1963) was head of the Roman Catholic Church, Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City, Vatican City State from 28 October 1958 until his death in June 1963.
