Ronaldo Deaconu
Ronaldo Octavian Andrei Deaconu (born 13 May 1997) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Nyíregyháza. Club career Deaconu started his professional career with ASA Târgu Mureș in 2016, after having previously played as a junior for FC Steaua București, the Gheorghe Hagi Academy, and Dutch clubs Feyenoord and Twente, respectively. He made his senior debut for Târgu Mureș on 5 August 2016, aged 19, in a 0–3 Liga I loss to Politehnica Iași. During the winter transfer window of 2017, Deaconu moved to fellow league team Concordia Chiajna. He totalled three goals from 55 Liga I matches, before transferring abroad to HNK Gorica on 1 February 2019. He appeared sparingly during his spell in Croatia, and in the summer of that year returned to his country after Sepsi OSK acquired him for €100,000. 2020–21 Liga I
The 2020–21 Liga I (also known as Casa Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons) was the 103rd season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The season started on 21 August 2020 and ended on 19 May 2021. CFR Cluj were winners and three-time defending champions. It was the sixth season to take place in the play-off/play-out format, and the first since the 2005–06 season to feature 16 teams. The play-off/play-out rule was also altered, with the first six teams at the regular season qualified for the play-off tournament and the last ten for the play-out. The first six teams played two matches against each other as before, but in the play-out the teams only played once against each other. At the end of the play-out, the first two places (or the 7th and 8th overall) played a single match on the ground of the lower ranked team, and the subsequent winner played the last team ranked on a UEFA Europa Conference League spot in the play-off. 2020 Cupa României Final
The 2020 Cupa României Final is the final match of the 2019–20 Cupa României and the 82nd final of the Cupa României, Romania's premier football cup competition. It was played on 22 July 2020 between Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe and FCSB. Sepsi reached their first cup final in the club's existence. The club from Sfântu Gheorghe was founded in 2011, this being the biggest achievement in their 9 years of club history. On the other hand, FCSB were playing their 32nd Cupa României final, having won the trophy 22 times. The winner qualified for the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League. They also earned the right to play against 2019–20 Liga I champions for the 2020 Supercupa României. FCSB won the game thanks to a goal scored by Dennis Man in the 65th minute. The game was hosted by the Ilie Oană Stadium in Ploiești. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the game was played behind closed doors. The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, ), also known as NB I or Fizz Liga after its title sponsor, OTP Bank's webshop subsidiary, is a professional association football league in Hungary and the highest level of the Hungarian football league system.
