Ron Lipton
Ron Lipton (born August 8, 1946) is an American boxing referee who has officiated in world title bouts in the United States, Ireland, and Italy and on HBO pay-per-view. He has refereed fights involving Evander Holyfield, Ray Mercer, Roy Jones Jr., Oscar De La Hoya, David Tua, Junior Jones, Chris Eubank, Donovan Ruddock, Pernell Whitaker, and Roberto Durán. In May 2013, Lipton refereed the vacant Women's International Boxing Federation World Super Featherweight contest between Ronica Jeffrey of Brooklyn, New York, and former World Boxing Council Super Featherweight champion Olivia Gerula of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The winner, Ronica Jeffrey, emerged as the BoxRec number-three-ranked female featherweight in the world. Ash-Shakur Nafi-Shahid Stevenson (born June 28, 1997) is an American professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes, from featherweight to lightweight, and has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title since 2023. As an amateur, he represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning the bantamweight silver medal. Amateur career Stevenson began training for boxing under the guidance of his grandfather Wali Moses by age five and drew inspiration from Andre Ward. José Torres (boxer)
José Louis "Chegüi" Torres (May 3, 1936 – January 19, 2009) was a Puerto Rican-born professional boxer who fought representing the United States. As an amateur boxer, he won a silver medal in the middleweight division at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. In 1965, he defeated Willie Pastrano to win the WBC, WBA, and lineal light-heavyweight championships. Torres trained with the legendary boxing trainer Cus D'Amato. In 1997, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
