Ron Jones (6 August 1945 – 9 July 1995) was a British television director. Born in Bristol, he joined the BBC as a studio manager in local radio then became an assistant floor manager on television. After a period as a researcher and item director on ''Blue Peter'' he worked as a production manager on series such as '' Bergerac'' and '' Secret Army''. On completing the BBC's internal director's course, he was commissioned to direct for ''Doctor Who'' and contributed six stories in the 1980s: '' Black Orchid'', '' Time-Flight'', ''Arc of Infinity'', '' Frontios'', '' Vengeance on Varos'' and '' Mindwarp''. Ron Jones (teacher)
Ron Jones (born 1941) is an American writer, pedagogist, and former teacher in Palo Alto, California. He is best known for his classroom exercise called " The Third Wave" and the book he wrote about the event, which inspired the made-for-TV movie '' The Wave'' and other works, including a theatrical film in 2008. The original TV movie won the Emmy and Peabody Awards. His books ''The Acorn People'' and ''B-Ball'' have also been made into TV dramas. Jones lives in San Francisco, California where he regularly performs as a storyteller. Career In April 1967, while working as a teacher at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto, Jones created a project with his 15-year-old World History students in which they experienced the growth of a fascist movement, called The Wave. Ronald Neal Jones (born July 7, 1954) is an American composer. He has composed music for various television shows like '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'', ''DuckTales'', ''American Dad!'', and ''Family Guy''. Along with the creator of ''The Fairly OddParents'', Butch Hartman, he composed the show's theme song and music for its episodes. Ronald Jones (19 August 1934 – 30 December 2021) was a British track and field athlete who competed at two Olympic Games. Biography Jones was born on 19 August 1934 in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf. Jones was running for the Birchgrove Harriers when he finished fourth in the 100 yards event at the 1958 AAA Championships. By being the highest placed British athlete in the event he was considered the British 100 yards champion. The following year he finished third behind Peter Radford in the 100 yards at the 1959 AAA Championships. He won the bronze medal in the men's 4x100 metres relay at the 1962 European Championships in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, alongside Alf Meakin, Berwyn Jones, and David Jones. Indiana Hoosiers Track And Field
The Indiana Hoosiers track and field team is the track and field program that represents Indiana University Bloomington. The Hoosiers compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The team is based in Bloomington, Indiana at the Robert C. Haugh Complex. The program is coached by Ed Beathea. The track and field program officially encompasses four teams because the NCAA considers men's and women's indoor track and field and outdoor track and field as separate sports. The team won the 1932 NCAA Track and Field Championships. Derek Drouin is the only Hoosier athlete to have won five individual NCAA titles. Ronald Glen Jones (June 11, 1964 – June 4, 2006) was a professional baseball player for the Philadelphia Phillies during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He displayed great promise as a hitter, but his career was spoiled by two severe knee injuries. Life and career Born in Seguin, Texas, Jones was drafted in 1982 and 1983 but chose not to turn professional. Eventually, in 1984, he signed with the Phillies as a free agent. The stocky outfielder battled some problems with weight and injuries, but he displayed great hitting talent in the farm system. His ability at the plate and capable defense eventually earned him a spot with the big league club. Ronald Gene Jones (born October 7, 1946) is an American former professional football tight end. He played college football for the Trinity Valley Cardinals and UTEP Miners and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 1969 NFL/AFL draft. Ron Jones is a Welsh sports commentator. Broadcasting career Jones began working for the BBC in 1979. His broadcasting career began when he was asked to work on local programmes while living and working as a sports coach in Jamaica .
