Ronald Harris Jackson (October 22, 1933 – July 6, 2008) was an American professional baseball player and backup first baseman in Major League Baseball who appeared in 196 games over all or part of seven years (1954–1960) for the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. Listed as tall and , he batted and threw right-handed. The native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was an alumnus of Western Michigan University. On June 15, 1954, amateur free agent Jackson signed a bonus contract with the White Sox that compelled him to remain on the major-league roster for two full seasons. He appeared in 80 total games in –, 45 of them as the starting first baseman, and hit six home runs. Ronnie Damien Jackson (born May 9, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama) is a coach and a former player in Major League Baseball. He was the hitting coach for the Boston Red Sox in 2004 when they won their first World Series in 86 seasons. From 1975 through 1984, Jackson played first base and third base with the California Angels (1975–78, 1982–84), Minnesota Twins (1979–81), Detroit Tigers (1981) and Baltimore Orioles (1984). He batted and threw right-handed. Jackson was called up to the Angels after hitting .281 in 144 games for the Salt Lake City Gulls of the Pacific Coast League, and made his major league debut on September 12, 1975. Ron Jackson (born 1964) is an American jazz guitarist, composer, arranger, and instructor. Early life and career Jackson was born in the Philippines on July 27, 1964, where his father was serving with the US Marines in Vietnam. He began playing the guitar at the age of 11 and played his first professional performance at the age of 15. He enrolled in the Berklee College of Music in 1982, concentrating on composition and arranging. In 1985 he left his graduate studies and spent two years in Paris where he began playing the electric bass. In 1987 he moved to New York City and resumed playing guitar. As a jazz guitarist he began touring North America and Europe. Recording and touring career 1990s In 1991 Jackson released ''A Guitar Thing'' at the age of 27, with collaborators including Benny Green, Lonnie Plaxico, and Cecil Brooks III. A pioneer of avant-garde jazz, free funk, and jazz fusion, he appeared on over 50 albums as a bandleader, sideman, arranger, and producer. Ronald W. Jackson is an American former Anglican bishop. He was the second bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes in the Anglican Church in North America, from 28 April 2016 until his resignation in January 2020, for health reasons. He is married to Patricia, they have four adult children and six grandchildren. Jackson was removed from ever serving in ministry from the ACNA following his laicization in 2020. is a character in '' Dead Rising'', an action-adventure video game series created and published by Japanese company Capcom. He first appeared as the protagonist in the 2006 video game '' Dead Rising''. In the series, West is a freelance journalist. The character has been well received by video game publications as well as by the fans, mainly in the West, leading Frank to appear in several more games in and outside the ''Dead Rising'' series. Concept and design Keiji Inafune, producer of ''Dead Rising'', wanted the main character Frank West to be different from the usual Japanese main character, a young and beautiful protagonist.
