Ron Howells
Ronald Gilbert Howells (12 January 1927 – 29 December 2011) was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He was capped by Wales national football team, Wales and played in The Football League for three clubs. Playing career Howells began his playing career with Swansea City A.F.C., Swansea Town, joining the club in September 1946. He overcame a broken wrist to make his debut for the club in a 1–1 draw with Walsall F.C., Walsall in February 1948. He made nine appearances for the club during the 1947-48 in English football, 1947–48 season in the Football League Third Division South. However, he dropped out of The Football League and played for Barry Town F.C., Barry Town before resurrecting his professional career with Cardiff City F.C., Cardiff City in July 1950. Ponthenri
Pont Henri (or Ponthenri) is a small rural village in Wales, has a population over 600 inhabitants, located in the centre of the River Gwendraeth, Gwendraeth Valley, halfway between the towns of Carmarthen and Llanelli. Following reorganisation of constituency boundaries for the 2024 General Election the village now comes under the Parliamentary constituency of Llanelli (UK Parliament constituency), Llanelli. On a Community level most of the village is under the jurisdiction of Llanelli Rural Council while the rest of the village is represented by Llangendeirne Community Council. The electoral boundary in Pont-Henri follows the course of the Gwendraeth Fawr river. There is only 1 shop, although the village has a restaurant (the Baltic) and a social club. Football League Second Division
The Football League Second Division was the second level division in the English football league system between 1892 and 1992. Following the foundation of the FA Premier League, the Football League divisions were renumbered and the third tier became known as the Football League Second Division, while the second level was branded "First Division," below the Premiership. After the rebranding of the Football League in 2003–04, the second tier became known as the Championship, and the third tier became known as Football League One. South Wales
South Wales ( ) is a Regions of Wales, loosely defined region of Wales bordered by England to the east and mid Wales to the north.
