Ron Carroll
Ronald Michael Carroll is an American DJ, singer, songwriter and producer. He is primarily known in the house music circuit. Carroll has worked with many of house's most famous producers, including E-Smoove, Maurice Joshua and Bob Sinclar. He has also produced, usually with partner Spero Pagos, for other vocalists or his own songs. Musical career Carroll was born in Chicago in 1968. As a boy, he learned to sing while a member of his church choir. As a teenager, he was a fan of rock band Kiss, but became interested in house music when he attended a high school dance and spent time watching the DJ perform. Carroll started performing as a DJ in the late 1980s in a club he himself opened. He released his first official record, "My Prayer", in 1993, a track produced by local producers Hula (from the Outhere Brothers), Kay Fingers and Ron Trent. Byron Stingily is an American R&B and house-music singer born in Chicago, Illinois, known for his falsetto voice. He is now a part-time principal at a school in Chicago while still performing. Career Stingily had several hit records in the 1980s and 1990s as the lead singer of Ten City. "In Love with a DJ" (also known as "Turn It Up" or "Crank It Up") is a 2010 song by the singer CeCe Peniston and producer Ron Carroll. Carroll collaborated with Peniston already on her previous singles, " My Boo" in 2000, and " I'm Feelin' U" in 2007 (which he also co-wrote). "In Love with a DJ", their house/groove composition in common, was the first release of the producer's own independent record label called Electricity Records, which is a part of One Entertainment, which has a major distribution deal with Universal. Hoxton is an area in the London Borough of Hackney, England. As a part of Shoreditch, it is often considered to be part of the East End – the historic core of wider East London. It was historically in the county of Middlesex until 1889. Derrick May (born April 6, 1963), also known as Mayday and Is , is an American electronic musician from Belleville, Michigan, United States. May is credited with pioneering techno music in the 1980s along with collaborators Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson, commonly known as The Belleville Three. Sir Richard Grey (1457 – 25 June 1483) was an English knight and the half-brother of King Edward V of England. Eric Miller (born in Chicago, Illinois) is an American house music DJ, record producer and remixer. As E-Smoove, he worked for a number of years with Steve "Silk" Hurley and Maurice Joshua, before he hit the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1998 with "Deja Vu", which climbed to #16. The song reached #63 in the UK Singles Chart. His next U.S. dance chart entry came in 2002, when "Insatiable" hit #1. "Insatiable" was released under the pseudonym Thick Dick.
