Román Meyer Falcón
Román Guillermo Meyer Falcón is a Mexican politician and member of the National Regeneration Movement. He was appointed to the Cabinet of Mexico as Secretary of Agrarian, Land, and Urban Development (SEDATU) by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) in December 2018. Education Román Meyer Falcón received his bachelor's degree in architecture from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, and a master's degree in Urban Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. The Secretariat for Agrarian, Land and Urban Development (Spanish: ''Secretaría de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano'', ''SEDATU'') is the Mexican cabinet agency in charge of agriculture, urban development and living space. History SEDATU was established by reforms to the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration that were promulgated on January 2, 2013. Andrés Manuel López Obrador (; born 13 November 1953), also known by his initials AMLO, is a Mexican former politician, political scientist, public administrator and writer who served as the 65th president of Mexico from 2018 to 2024. National Regeneration Movement
The National Regeneration Movement (), commonly referred to by its syllabic abbreviation Morena (), is a major left-wing political party in Mexico, often described as oscillating between social democracy and populism. As of 2023, it is the largest political party in Mexico by number of members; it has been the ruling party since 2018, and it won a second term in the 2024 general election. The party's name also alludes to Mexico's Catholic national patroness: the Virgin of Guadalupe, known as ''La Morena''.
