''Romantic Comedy'' is a 2019 British documentary film about romantic comedies, directed, edited and narrated by Elizabeth Sankey, whose band Summer Camp contributes songs. Sankey's bandmate Jeremy Warmsley co-produced and composed the film's original score. Synopsis The film features extracts from hundreds of films, including ''The Holiday'', ''When Harry Met Sally'', '' While You Were Sleeping'', ''The Big Sick'', ''Kissing Jessica Stein'' and ''The Broken Hearts Club''. The production made use of Fair Use guidelines to legally include these clips. Other contributors to the film include actor Jessica Barden, director Charlie Lyne, writers Laura Snapes, Anne T Donahue, Simran Hans, Cameron Cook, Brodie Lancaster and radio producer Eleanor McDowall. Elizabeth Sankey is a British filmmaker and musician, best known for her film '' Romantic Comedy''. and for playing in the indie-pop band Summer Camp. As part of Summer Camp she has released four albums and the soundtrack to the film ''Beyond Clueless''. Her debut feature film, ''Romantic Comedy'', premiered at South By Southwest and was distributed in the UK by MUBI. Charlie Shackleton (formerly Charlie Lyne; born 15 August 1991) is a British filmmaker, multimedia artist, and film critic. He has made several films, including '' Beyond Clueless,'' '' Fear Itself'' and the 2016 protest film '' Paint Drying'' as well as the multimedia performance piece ''As Mine Exactly''. Early life Charlie Shackleton was born on 15 August 1991, at St Mary's Hospital in London, raised by his mother, Jane Shackleton. He details in his piece ''As Mine Exactly'' how their relationship evolved after she developed epilepsy when he was a child. At the time, Shackleton videotaped several of her seizures at the request of her medical team. Career Shackleton established the movie blog Ultra Culture in 2008, at the age of 16.
