Romanian National Conservative Party
The Romanian National Conservative Party (, PNCR) is a Romanian right-wing List of political parties in Romania, political party, founded in late 2023 by Petre Cristian Bărnuțiu. In December 2023, Member of the European Parliament, MEP Cristian Terheș left Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party, PNȚCD and joined the party, becoming its leader, and the party under his leadership joined the AUR Alliance. Terheș became the head of the AUR Alliance list for the 2024 European Parliament election in Romania, and under his leadership the alliance won second place and 6 seats in the European Parliament. Cristian Terheș
Cristian-Vasile Terheș (born 4 December 1978) is a Romanian politician and journalist, serving as leader of the Romanian National Conservative Party since 2023, and a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Romania since 2019. Terhes was initially a member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), before joining the Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party (PNȚ-CD) in May 2020, as well as becoming a member of the European Christian Political Movement (ECPM). Biography Born in Zalău, he studied theology at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, and was consecrated priest of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church in Oradea. He then studied journalism at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California and worked at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California. 2025 Romanian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Romania on 4 May 2025, with a second round on 18 May 2025. Nicușor Dan and George Simion were the two candidates who advanced to the second round. 2024 Romanian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Romania on 24 November 2024. 2024 Romanian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Romania on 1 December 2024. George Nicolae Simion (; born 21 September 1986) is a Romanian politician and civic activist. He is the founder and chairman of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), the second largest party in both houses of parliament since 2024 Romanian parliamentary election, 2024. He was a candidate in the 2025 Romanian presidential election.
