The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the 14th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial Association football, football tournament for men's senior national teams. Marius Mihai Lăcătuș (; born 5 April 1964) is a Romanian professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player. He is the most successful footballer of CSA Steaua București (football), Steaua București and was part of their UEFA Champions League, European Cup victory in 1986 European Cup Final, 1986. Lăcătuș is the all-time top scorer for Steaua with FC Steaua București in European football#European competitions goals, 16 goals in European competitions. He played as a deep lying striker or inside forward for Steaua București most of his career, being the team's captain between 1994 and 1999. Mircea Rednic
Mircea Rednic (born 9 April 1962) is a Romanian professional football coach and former player who played as a defender, who is currently the head coach of Belgian Pro League club Standard Liège. Playing career Corvinul Hunedoara Rednic, nicknamed "Puriul" was born on 9 April 1962 in Hunedoara and until he was 14 years old he played table tennis, handball, volleyball and chess before starting to play football at Corvinul Hunedoara's youth center under the guidance of coach Remus Vlad. Coach Mircea Lucescu gave him his debut for Corvinul's senior squad in the 1979–80 Divizia B season, then as the team promoted he also gave him his Divizia A debut on 2 August 1980 in a 4–1 victory against ASA Târgu Mureș. Bogdan Lobonț
Bogdan Ionuț Lobonț (; born 18 January 1978) is a Romanian professional football coach and former player who played as a goalkeeper, currently technical director at Liga III club CSM Olimpia Satu Mare. He amassed 86 appearances for the Romania national team between 1998 and 2018, representing the country in two European Championships. He was popularly nicknamed ''Pisica'' ("The Cat") in Romania, due to his quick reflexes and relative small body frame for a goalkeeper. Michael Klein (footballer, Born 1959)
Michael "Mișa" Klein (10 October 1959 – 2 February 1993) was a Romanian footballer who played as a left-back. Early years Michael Klein, nicknamed ''Mișa'', was born on 10 October 1959 in Amnaș, Romania, being half of Transylvanian Saxon origin from his father side. Club career He started to play football at Corvinul Hunedoara's youth center in 1973, making his debut for the senior team on 24 August 1977 under coach Ștefan Coidum in a Divizia A match which ended 2–2 against Argeș Pitești. In the following season he was sent on a loan at Divizia B team, Aurul Brad, but in the 1978–79 Divizia A season he was brought back to Corvinul by the team's new coach, Mircea Lucescu. Bogdan Stelea
Bogdan Gheorghe Stelea (; born 5 December 1967) is a former Romanian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Having played professionally into his 40s, he played for all three major Liga I clubs in his country's capital, and also spent a vast part of his career in Spain, mainly with Salamanca, also Stelea played nearly 100 times for Romania, and represented the nation in three World Cups and two European Championships. Dan Petrescu
Daniel "Dan" Vasile Petrescu (; born 22 December 1967) is a Romanian football manager and former player who is currently in charge of Liga I club CFR Cluj. As a player, Petrescu was deployed as a full-back or a winger and began his career at Steaua București, with which he played in the 1989 European Cup final. Abroad, he represented Serie A clubs Foggia and Genoa, before moving to the Premier League where he played for Sheffield Wednesday, Chelsea, Bradford City, and Southampton, respectively. With Chelsea, Petrescu won the 1998 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Ladislau "Loți" Iosif Bölöni (; born 11 March 1953) is a Romanian professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player.
