The diocese of Hải Phòng () is a Roman Catholic diocese in northern Vietnam. The bishop is Vincent Nguyên Văn Ban, since 2022. The creation of the diocese in its present form was declared 24 November 1960. The earliest forms of Roman Catholic institutions appeared in that territory since 1655, with France, French and Spain, Spanish missionaries until the middle of the 20th century.''Asia News Article on Hai Phong, November 2007'' The diocese covers an area of 10,000 km², and is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Hanoi. Hai Phong
Haiphong or Hai Phong (, ) is the third-largest city in Vietnam and is the principal port city of the Red River Delta. The municipality has an area of , consisting of 8 urban districts, 6 rural districts and 1 municipal city (sub-city).
