''Roll Red Roll'' is a 2018 American documentary film, directed and produced by Nancy Schwartzman. It follows the Steubenville High School rape case. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 22, 2018. It was released in a limited release on March 22, 2019, by Together Films, prior to its debut on POV on PBS on June 17, 2019. Plot The documentary looks into the Steubenville High School rape case that occurred in August 2012. Nancy Schwartzman
Nancy Schwartzman is an American documentary filmmaker. She is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Personal life Schwartzman was raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She attended Harriton High School and Shipley School, and is a 1997 graduate alumni of Columbia University in New York City. Films Schwartzman initially worked as a production assistant at Killer Films, contributing to Todd Solondz's ''Happiness'' and Todd Haynes' ''Velvet Goldmine''. She also participated in social media advertising campaigns for the documentary films ''The Invisible War'' and '' Girl Model''. The Cinema Eye Honors are awards recognizing excellence in nonfiction or documentary filmmaking and include awards for the disciplines of directing, producing, cinematography and editing. Chagrin Documentary Film Festival is an annual documentary film festival based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The festival debuted in 2010, with 93 films showing in venues throughout the village. That year, the festival had an attendance of 1,800. By the 2015 festival, that number had grown to almost 7,000, while the number of films shrank to less than 70.
