Rolandas Alijevas (born 20 January 1985) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player of Azerbaijanis, Azeri descent. Pro career On 15 April 2011, Alijevas signed a contract with BC Prienai, until the end of the season. On 28 June 2011, he signed with BC Budivelnyk, Budivelnyk Kyiv in Ukraine. On 13 February 2012, he became a member of the BC Krasnye Krylia, Krasnye Krylia basketball club, based in Samara, Russia. Rolandas Verkys (born 17 March 1966) is a Lithuanian retired high jumper. He won four national titles for Lithuania in the men's high jump event. Rolandas Verkys coach was Petras Dromantas one of the best high jump coaches in former Soviet Union. Rolandas Verkys career started in sports boarding school based in Panevėžys, Lithuania. He finished seventh at the 1992 European Indoor Championships in Genoa with a jump of 2.26 metres. His personal best jump was 2.34 metres, achieved in June 1991 in Warsaw. Rolandas Pavilionis (July 3, 1944 in Šiauliai – May 10, 2006) was a Lithuanian philosopher, politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Liberal Democratic Party; part of the Union for a Europe of Nations. Biography In 1962 Pavilionis graduated from a night-school for workers in Šiauliai. He attended the school at night after finishing his work at a bicycle factory. The same year he was admitted to the Vilnius University to study foreign languages. In 1968 he graduated the university with a degree in philology. From 1968 to 1971 he continued postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and earned a doctor's degree in logic. Rolandas Paksas
Rolandas Paksas (; born 10 June 1956) is a Lithuanian politician who served as the sixth President of Lithuania from 2003 until his impeachment in April 2004. He previously served two terms as the Prime Minister of Lithuania in 1999 and again from 2000 to 2001, and as Mayor of Vilnius from 1997 to 1999 and again from 2000 to 2001. He led Order and Justice from 2004 to 2016 and was a Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2019. A national aerobatics champion in the 1980s, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Paksas founded a construction company, Restako.
