Roland Theis
Roland Theis (1980) is a German politician of the Christian Democrat Union. Since 2017 he has been serving as State Secretary in the State Ministry of Justice in Saarland, in the government of Minister-President Tobias Hans. Education and early career After his studies in the field of law and politics in the University of Saarland and the Université d'Aix-Marseille III he gained his first law degree in 2005 and second in 2008. He is a scholarship holder from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and is currently working as a lecturer of constitutional and media law in the University of Saarland. Theis is the alumnus of the Marshall Memorial Fellowship of the German Marshall Fund and the American Jewish Committee. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (; Kramp; born 9 August 1962), sometimes referred to by her initials of AKK, is a retired German politician who served as Minister of Defence from 2019 to 2021 and as Leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) from 2018 to 2021. In February 2020, Kramp-Karrenbauer announced that she would resign her position as CDU leader later in the year and would not put herself forward as a candidate for chancellor for the 2021 federal election. 2009 Saarland State Election
The 2009 Saarland state election was held on 30 August 2009 to elect the members of the Landtag of Saarland. It was held on the same day as state elections in Saxony and Thuringia. The incumbent Christian Democratic Union (CDU) government led by Minister-President Peter Müller lost its majority. The CDU subsequently formed a coalition with the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and The Greens, and Müller was re-elected as Minister-President. This was the first Jamaica coalition formed in Germany. Neunkirchen () is a Kreis (district) in the middle of the Saarland, Germany. Neighboring districts are Sankt Wendel, Kusel, Saarpfalz, Saarbrücken, and Saarlouis. History In 1814, the district Ottweiler was created; however, its history can be traced back to 1545 when it was created as ''Herrschaft Ottweiler'', later ''Amt'' and ''Oberamt Ottweiler'', and during the Napoleonic times as ''Kanton Ottweiler''. Two years after its creation, it was reorganized in 1816 by order of the Congress of Vienna. In 1866, an attempt to move the district capital to Neunkirchen failed.
