Roland Gareis
Roland Gareis (born March 15, 1948) is an Austrian economist, former Professor of Project Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and consultant. He is known for his work on the theory and practice of project management, and is considered co-founder of the "Management by projects" approach. Biography Youth, education and early academic career Gareis was born in 1948 Vienna, son of Gunter Gareis and Erika Gareis. In his early years he wa an active youth player at the Austrian football club SK Rapid Wien. he participated in the 1968–69 SK Rapid Wien season.
