Rohatec
Rohatec is a municipality and village in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,500 inhabitants. Geography Rohatec is located about northeast of Hodonín and southeast of Brno, on the border with Slovakia. It lies in a flat landscape of the Lower Morava Valley. The village is situated on the right bank of the Morava (river), Morava River. History The first written mention of Rohatec is in a deed of King Ottokar II of Bohemia, Ottokar II from 1270. From 1368 until the establishment of an independent municipality in 1848, Rohatec belonged to the Strážnice estate. Demographics Transport The I/55 road from Olomouc to Břeclav passes through the municipality. Rohatec is located on the railway lines Přerov–Břeclav and Hodonín–Velká nad Veličkou. Vladimír Fischer
Vladimír Fischer (4 June 1870 – 28 October 1947) was a Czechs, Czech architect, professor and university administrator. He was a major figure in the development of modern architecture in the new state of Czechoslovakia after World War I and trained numerous university architecture students in Brno during the interwar period. Early life and training Fischer was born on 4 June 1870 in Fryšták, Moravia, Austria-Hungary. He was the son of Antonín Fischer (1841–1905), who ran a construction company there and later in Holešov, and his wife Františka Rectorová. Vladimír Fischer attended state schools in Brno until 1887, then matriculated to the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he studied engineering construction under prominent Galicia (Eastern Europe), Galician-born architect Friedrich Ohmann until 1893. Strážnice
Strážnice () is a town in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,300 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an Cultural monument (Czech Republic)#Monument zones, urban monument zone. Etymology The name is derived from (i.e. 'guard') and refers to the original function of the castle which was built here in the 13th century. Jakub Kornfeil (born 8 April 1993) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racer from the Czech Republic. Until 2019, he competed in the Moto3 World Championship. During 2020 he raced for WithU Motorsport in the MotoE World Cup. He was the winner of Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2009. In church architecture, the chancel is the space around the altar, including the Choir (architecture), choir and the sanctuary (sometimes called the presbytery), at the liturgical east end of a traditional Christian church building.
