Rogues (comics)
The Rogues is a group of supervillains from the comic book superhero the Flash, currently led by Captain Cold and including the Mirror Master, Heat Wave, the Golden Glider, the Weather Wizard, the Trickster, the Pied Piper, the Top, and Captain Boomerang. This loose criminal association refer to themselves as the ''Rogues'', disdaining the use of the term "supervillain" or "supercriminal". Fictional team history The Rogues, compared to similar collections of supervillains in the DC Universe, are an unusually social group, maintaining a code of conduct as well as high standards for acceptance. ''The Rogues'' is an American television series that appeared on NBC from September 13, 1964, to April 18, 1965, starring David Niven, Charles Boyer, and Gig Young as a related trio of former conmen who could, for the right price, be persuaded to trick a very wealthy and heinously unscrupulous mark. Although it won the 1964 Golden Globe award for Best Television Series, the show was cancelled after one season consisting of thirty episodes. Production Niven and Boyer were two of the co-owners of Four Star Television, which produced the show. Although sometimes appearing together, the three lead actors tended to rotate appearances as their schedules permitted. This resulted in Young helming more episodes because the other two were engaged on other projects; Boyer and Niven were still major film stars (Niven had received an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1958). ''I picari'', internationally released as ''The Rogues'', is a 1987 Italian comedy film written and directed by Mario Monicelli. It is freely inspired by the Spanish novels ''Lazarillo de Tormes'' and '' Guzman de Alfarache''. The film was co-produced with Spain, where it was released as ''Los alegres pícaros''. Plot ''I picari'' was the last of Monicelli's films, such as ''L'armata Brancaleone'', to be set in the Renaissance and medieval eras. As in his previous films, a tilting of the society and surroundings of the characters makes the film a parody of the goliardic lifestyle of the 12th or 13th century. Rogue is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, mostly in association with the X-Men. The character was created by Chris Claremont and Michael Golden, and first appeared in ''Avengers Annual'' #10 in 1981. Monstercat (formerly known as Monstercat Media) is a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 2011 by Mike Darlington and Ari Paunonen, the label released music on a tri-weekly basis until 2018, when this was changed to four releases a week. This would later be changed to six releases a week in 2021. Rogue (band)
Rogue were a British soft rock band who were active between 1975 and 1979, comprising Guy Fletcher, Al Hodge and John Hodkinson. The group's original material was all written by Fletcher and his songwriting partner Doug Flett, though Flett was never a member of the band. Band formation In 1975, Fletcher, former Onyx guitarist Hodge, and former If-vocalist Hodkinson formed the soft-rock trio Rogue which released several singles, including "Dedication", "Cool Clear Air", "Lay Me Down", " Lady Put the Light Out", "Too Much Too Soon", "One to One", and "Borderline", as well as three albums. Their song "Fallen Angel" was a No. 12 hit in the Netherlands in January 1976. The group disbanded in 1979.
