Rodrigo Teixeira Pereira (born 16 June 1978) is a Brazilian professional football striker who last played for River Plate Asunción in the Paraguay División Intermedia, the country's second-tier. Career Guaraní (2010) In January 2010, Texeira signed with Guaraní for the entire season, joining players Jonathan Fabbro, Federico Santander, Elvis Marecos and Joel Silva. In February 2010, Texeira scored in a 3-1 victory against Club Sol de América. Guaraní (2013) In January 2013, ABC Color announced that Texeira was close to returning to Guaraní, when he attended a reunion with the club's president at the same time that Guaraní would also sign Julio César Caceres. Club Olimpia is a Paraguayan sports club based in the city of Asunción. The club promotes the practice of various sports with most importance given to the football, rugby and basketball sides, the former being the highest priority and most successful. The 2013 Copa Sudamericana (officially the 2013 Copa Total Sudamericana for sponsorship reasons) was the 12th edition of the Copa Sudamericana, South America's secondary international club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Federico Javier Santander Mereles (born 4 June 1991) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a forward for Italian club Reggina and the Paraguay national team. Jonathan Fabbro
Jonathan Fabbro (born 16 January 1982) is an Argentine-born Paraguayan convicted felon and a former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. In 2019, he was sentenced to fourteen years in jail for abuse of children. Born in Argentina, he became a naturalised citizen of Paraguay and played for its national football team. He is the brother of former footballer Darío Fabbro. The Paraguayan football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Paraguay. Overview At the top is the ''Primera División'' or ''División de Honor'' (first division) with 12 clubs. Below the 1st level is the ''Intermedia'' (second division). In order to get promoted to the Intermedia there are two subdivisions at the 3rd level: the ''Primera División B Metropolitana'', which comprises teams from the Gran Asunción area; and the ''Primera División B Nacional'' which contains the best teams from the different Departments of Paraguay. The División Intermedia ( en, Intermediate Division), also known as the Segunda División ( en, Second Division), is the second tier professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names.
