Rocky Hill School
Rocky Hill Country Day School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school located on 84 acres along the Potowomut River and Narragansett Bay in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. It educates in grades nursery through grade 12. History The school was founded in 1934 by Dorothy Marshall as a local preschool. Three years later, the first official schoolhouse was constructed to serve preschool through third grade. Nathan Hale, a descendant of the Revolutionary war hero of the same name, purchased the school in 1941.Breed, Donald D. Potowomut
Potowomut () is an isolated neighborhood and a peninsula in Warwick, Rhode Island. It is bordered by the Town of East Greenwich to the northwest, and by North Kingstown to the southeast. Greenwich Bay surrounds all other sides. Potowomut's name translates to "land of fires", the Narragansett Indian name for the neck of land. Nathan Hale (June 6, 1755 – September 22, 1776) was an American Patriot (American Revolution), Patriot, soldier and spy for the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Rome Kirby is an American sailor who has competed in the Volvo Ocean Race and multiple America's Cups. Kirby is a native of Newport, Rhode Island. His father, Jerry Kirby, has sailed in three Volvo Ocean Races and six America's Cups. They are believed to be the first father and son to win the America's Cup. Kirby was an alternate for Puma Racing, supporting '' Il Mostro'' during the 2008–09 Volvo Ocean Race. He then sailed with Puma Racing on '' Mar Mostro'' during the 2011–12 Volvo Ocean Race. Damian Esau Rivera (born 8 December 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for USL Championship club Phoenix Rising FC.
