Leonard F. After Suicidal Tendencies, George played with 40 Cycle Hum and Cro-Mags, and in 2003, he joined Fishbone. George was also a member of a local punk rock band called Pap Smear with Jeff Hanneman and Dave Lombardo. In 2019, George returned to the Cro-Mags lineup. Biography During his tenure with Suicidal Tendencies, George joined a short-lived punk side project called "Pap Smear", formed by Slayer members Jeff Hanneman and Dave Lombardo. Fishbone
Fishbone is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1979, the band plays a fusion of ska, punk, funk, metal, reggae, and soul. AllMusic has described the group as "one of the most distinctive and eclectic alternative rock bands of the late 1980s. With their hyperactive, self-conscious diversity, goofy sense of humor, and sharp social commentary, the group gained a sizable cult following". Fishbone first assembled as school students in 1979 with John Norwood Fisher (bass), his brother Philip "Fish" Fisher (drums), Angelo Moore (vocals, saxophones, theremin), Kendall Jones (guitar), "Dirty" Walter A. Kibby II (vocals, trumpet), and Christopher Dowd (keyboards, trombone, vocals). They achieved their greatest commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s, after which they went through many personnel changes. From 2003 to 2010, John Norwood Fisher and Angelo Moore were the last remaining original members of the band. In the 2010s, all the other ... Revenge (Cro-Mags Album)
''Revenge'' is the fifth studio album by New York hardcore band Cro-Mags. It was released in 2000 on their own label Cro-Mag Recordings and was the band's first studio album in seven years, as well as their first release with guitarist Rocky George (formerly of Suicidal Tendencies) and its first without vocalist John Joseph since 1989's '' Best Wishes''. As he did on ''Best Wishes'', bassist Harley Flanagan handled the vocals on this album. ''Revenge'' was also the Cro-Mags' last full-length studio album until the release of '' In the Beginning'' in 2020. Release and reception In an AllMusic review, Patrick Kennedy said "Appearing nearly a decade after the previous album, the largely disappointing Near Death Experience, Harley Flanagan resuscitated the Cro-Mags -- at least temporarily -- and issued a few albums in 2000. Revenge, a disc of studio material from the newest incarnation (also with original guitarist Parris Mayhew and Suicidal Tendencies' Rocky George), is surprisin ... Still Cyco After All These Years
''Still Cyco After All These Years'' is the seventh studio album by American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released in 1993. The album is composed of re-recorded songs from the band's 1983 debut album, ''Suicidal Tendencies''; re-recordings of "War Inside My Head" and "A Little Each Day" from the band's second album, '' Join the Army''; and "Don't Give Me Your Nothin'" which was previously released as a B-side to "Send Me Your Money". Album information The album was recorded in 1989–1990 during the '' Lights...Camera...Revolution!'' sessions. It contained the songs from the band's 1983 self-titled debut album. Frontman Mike Muir was upset with Frontier Records, the independent label that released Suicidal Tendencies' debut album, over various royalty and publishing issues. Since Muir did not have the rights to reissue the debut, he instead re-recorded the songs for release through Epic Records. Singles for ''Still Cyco After All These Years'' were released fo ... The Art Of Rebellion
''The Art of Rebellion'' is the sixth studio album by American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released in 1992 on Epic Records. It was the only Suicidal Tendencies album to be recorded without an official drummer; the drum tracks were handled by Josh Freese, filling in for the departed R.J. Herrera. ''The Art of Rebellion'' maintains its position as the band's most commercially successful studio album to date, and the songs " Nobody Hears" and "I'll Hate You Better" have the distinction of being the only top 40 hits (radio or otherwise) in Suicidal Tendencies' career. Album information Released in the wake of the success of grunge and alternative rock, ''The Art of Rebellion'' is widely considered to be Suicidal's "experimental" album. Mike Clark has acknowledged this. Clark also mentioned that the album was not planned that way, and was just a reflection of the band's musical growth. The songs show the band's continuing experimentation that had begun on its predecesso ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today
''How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today'' is the third studio album by American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies. It was released on September 13, 1988 on Epic Records, the band's first album on that label. It was also their first album recorded with guitarist Mike Clark and their only release with bassist Bob Heathcote, who was replaced by Robert Trujillo in 1989. Musical style ''How Will I Laugh...'' is crucial to Suicidal Tendencies stylistic developments in that it sees the band abandoning most of their full-fledged punk influences in favor of a more thrash-oriented sound. One could see this stylistic changes in this album's predecessor '' Join the Army'', but this album had a distinctly more defined metal sound, more complex and lengthy songs, and better production values. The addition of a rhythm guitarist Mike Clark (who had played with vocalist Mike Muir in No Mercy, which was supposed to originally be a metal-only side project) changed the ... Join The Army
''Join the Army'' is the second studio album by American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies. It was released in April 1987, and is one of the most well known albums for crossing over the genres of punk and thrash metal, known as crossover thrash, a genre that Suicidal Tendencies have been credited for creating. ''Join the Army'' is arguably one of Suicidal Tendencies' most popular efforts, although it only reached No. 100 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. This was their first album with guitarist Rocky George and drummer R.J. Herrera, and their last recording with bassist Louiche Mayorga (although he did co-write songs on their next album ''How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today''). This is also the last album to feature the band playing hardcore punk before an extended period with a more thrash metal focus. However, on some more recent albums, hardcore punk is again part of the mix. Musical style Mike Muir used vastly different vocal techniques and ran ...
