Boris Smile
Boris Smile was an American indie-pop collective from Long Beach, California, Long Beach, California, United States. Started in 2004 by leader A. Wesley Chung, the band's hallmark characteristic was its blend of singer-songwriter pop with orchestral arrangements. Their style is often compared to David Bazan, Page France, The Long Winters, and Sufjan Stevens. The band was signed to Count Your Lucky Stars Records. They disbanded in the summer of 2011. Music Boris Smile was formed in 2004 by A. Wesley Chung. While originally created as a solo project named after his young Russian neighbor, it quickly became a band with a rotating door of musicians. Boris Smile released their first full-length record entitled "Chapter I" in the summer of 2007. The album follows Chung's personal experiences in high school, documenting the angst, self-doubt, and absurdity of youth. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Accordion
Accordions (from 19th-century German ''Akkordeon'', from ''Akkord''—"musical chord, concord of sounds") are a family of box-shaped musical instruments of the bellows-driven free-reed aerophone type (producing sound as air flows past a reed in a frame), colloquially referred to as a squeezebox.
