Rochester High School (Michigan)
Rochester High School is a public school (government funded), public high school located in Rochester Hills, Michigan, United States, and is part of the Rochester Community Schools (Michigan), Rochester Community Schools. It was established in 1883, and classes have been held in the current facility since 1955. The school mascot is Freddie the Falcon. Most students attending this school come from Reuther Middle School, West Middle School, or Holy Family Regional School. History In 1889, Rochester, Michigan, Rochester's first high school, known as the "Academy on the Hill", was built on Fourth and Wilcox in the (then) Village of Rochester for $8,000. Paul Davis (born July 21, 1984) is an American retired professional basketball player. Standing at , he played at the power forward and center positions. Early years Davis started his career at Reuther Middle School where his number has been retired. Davis played for Rochester High School, earning Mr. Basketball of Michigan honors in 2002. As a center for the Michigan State Spartans, he finished the 2005 season as the NCAA Tournament's leading rebounder. Davis was ranked as the nation's number three center by ''Lindy's College Basketball'' and the nation's number five post man by ''Athlon Sports''. James Calvin Young (born August 16, 1995) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Ipswich Force of the NBL1 North. He played one season of college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats before being selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. Walker Dwayne Russell Jr. (born October 6, 1982) is an American former professional basketball point guard. A native of Pontiac, Michigan, he played college basketball for Chipola College and Jacksonville State University. Dorthy Elaine Moxley (; June 5, 1932 – December 24, 2024) was an American educator and crime victim advocate. She became involved in public and legal efforts following the 1975 murder of her daughter, Martha Moxley, in Greenwich, Connecticut. Andrew Thomas Hutchinson (born March 24, 1980) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman, who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career As a youth, Hutchinson played in the 1994 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Fraser, Michigan.
