Robin Malmqvist
Robin Malmkvist (born 13 November 1987) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Malmkvist started his career in Alvesta GIF youth team in 1996, staying with the club until 2000 when then moved to Östers IF. He debuted for Öster in 2005, at the age of 17, in Superettan, helping the club reach Allsvenskan. The time in Allsvenskan was only one year and Öster returned to Superettan, however, Malmkvist missed large part of the season due to a cheekbone injury and saw the club get relegated again. While Öster was promoted back to Superettan in 2009, Malmkvist decided to leave the club and signed for Halmstads BK, which were looking for a replacement for departing Magnus Bahne. Malmkvist played the 2011 season on loan at Tromsø, as backup to Marcus Sahlman. Östers IF
Östers Idrottsförening, commonly known as Östers IF or simply Öster, is a Swedish sports club located in Växjö, specializing in Association football, football. For the 2025 Allsvenskan, 2025 season the club is back in the top tier, Allsvenskan, after achieving promotion from Superettan in 2024 Superettan, 2024. It will be the club's first season in Allsvenskan since 2013 Allsvenskan, 2013. The club has previously also competed in ice hockey (Östers IF (ice hockey), see separate article), bandy, and bowling. Superettan (; ) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. The second tier of Swedish football had previously consisted of a varying number of regionalized leagues operating under the Division 2 (1924–1986) and Division 1 (1987–1999) names.
