Robertino Canavesio
Robertino Canavesio (born 2 April 1993) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for San Telmo. Career Born in Pergamino, Canavesio began playing football in local club Douglas Haig's youth system. He joined Sarmiento in 2011, and soon was selected to play for the senior team in the Primera B Metropolitana. On 5 November 2011 he made his professional debut playing 90 minutes in a 2–0 home won against Acassuso for the Primera B Metropolitana. After a spell abroad with Parma, Canavesio signed with Grêmio, and played once in Campeonato Gaúcho, a 1–0 away loss to São José-RS. In June 2014, Canavesio returned to Sarmiento to play in the Primera B Nacional by loan until April 2015. Pergamino () is an Argentine city in the Province of Buenos Aires. It has a population of about 104,985 inhabitants as per the and is the administrative seat of its county, Pergamino Partido. Its UN/LOCODE is ARPGO. History Long valued for its many springs and fertile land, the area had been home to the Charrúa and Araucanian people when it was first noticed by Spanish colonist around 1620. Becoming a posada along the trade route between colonial Buenos Aires and Córdoba, the settlement was given its name on 3 January 1626, for the parchment paper (document lost by a group of Spaniards) found there and conforming to an Araucanian term meaning "red soil." The settlement's first businesses were established in 1700 and in 1749, recurrent attacks by displaced natives led to the construction of a fort. Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country.
