Robert Steiner (footballer)
Robert Herman Steiner (born 20 June 1973) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He represented IFK Norrköping, Bradford City, Queens Park Rangers, and Walsall during a career that spanned between 1992 and 2000. He won three caps and scored one goal for the Sweden national team in 1997. Career Steiner started out playing football in his homeland with IFK Norrköping. He moved to England in 1996, originally on loan to Bradford City when manager Chris Kamara signed Steiner, fellow Swede Magnus Pehrsson and Norwegian striker Ole Bjørn Sundgot. Steiner was the most successful of the three after scoring three league goals during his loan spell, and more famously one of the three goals in the 3–2 FA Cup triumph over Everton. Steiner's form earned him a call-up to the national side. He won three caps and scored one goal. Kamara bought the Swede for £500,000 the following summer. Robert Steiner (radiologist)
Professor Robert Emil Steiner CBE FRCR, FRCP, CRCS was a British radiologist. Steiner was born on 1 February 1918 in Prague. When he was three, his family moved to Vienna. He escaped from Austria shortly after the Anschluss, first to Dublin and then during World War II, to the United Kingdom. From 1961 to 1983 he worked as Professor of Diagnostic Radiology - their first - at the University of London, and at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, at Hammersmith Hospital, where after retirement he was emeritus. He served as editor of the '' British Journal of Radiology'', President of the British Institute of Radiology and President of the Royal College of Radiologists. Robert Steiner (writer)
Robert Steiner (born 7 December 1976), is a German mountain climber and writer. Steiner was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and grew up in Ostelsheim in the Black Forest. After finishing his Abitur he studied Geography and German in Freiburg im Breisgau to become a teacher. Steiner started mountain-climbing at the age of 17 and went on to climb the Eiger, Matterhorn and Grandes Jorasses. He then climbed Bigwall in British Columbia and took part in expeditions to Mount Everest, Langtang in Tibet, Rolwaling and Tien Shan. In 1997 he had a serious accident at Grandes Jorasses which made him review his attitude to climbing, after which he wrote his first book. The Steiner Brothers (tap-dancing Trio)
The Steiner Brothers were a Canadian Tap dance, tap-dancing trio active in North American nightclubs and theatres and in television and film during the 1950s and 1960s. The group consisted of three brothers from Winnipeg: Roy Steiner (May 20, 1941 – October 27, 2019), Ron Steiner (born 1942), and Rob Steiner (born 1944). The group also sang and performed comedy. Ron Steiner was also one of the original Mouseketeers for Walt Disney. Family background and education The Steiner Brothers are the children of Ralph Steiner and Madge Steiner (née Hoffard). Their father was a child prodigy on the violin who had conducted the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra at the age of 12, and later worked as the bandmaster of his own dance band. Their mother had danced professionally with the Hoffard Sisters, a Saskatchewan-based dance troupe in the 1930s and 1940s.
