Robert Snyder (January 16, 1916 – March 21, 2004) was a documentary filmmaker who won an Academy Award in 1950 as producer of '' The Titan: Story of Michelangelo''. Biography Robert Snyder was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 16, 1916. He married Allegra Fuller, the daughter of Buckminster Fuller, professor emeritus and former chairwoman of the dance department at University of California at Los Angeles. They had a son Jaime and a daughter Alexandra. Snyder won the Academy Award for Best Feature-Length Documentary for '' The Titan: Story of Michelangelo''. It was a German/Swiss film titled ''Michelangelo: Life of a Titan'', first released in 1938 directed by Curt Oertel. Snyder re-edited and shortened the film, adding narration by Fredric March. Robert A. Snyder (February 6, 1913 – January 4, 2001) was an American football player and coach who spent more than three decades in the sport, including his most prominent position as head coach of the National Football League's Los Angeles Rams. College career A native of Toledo, Ohio, Snyder played three years of football at Ohio University, seeing action on both sides of the ball. During that trio of seasons that began in 1933, Snyder was off the field for just four minutes, winning small college All-America honors as a senior. Professional career He moved on to the fledgling second version of the American Football League in 1936, where he played for the Pittsburgh Americans before shifting to the NFL the following year with the Cleveland Rams. Bob Snyder (August 11, 1936August 28, 2019) was a musician known for playing tenor sax, alto sax, clarinet, and flute. He performed with The Airmen of Note, the Glenn Miller Air Force Dance Band, and Lionel Hampton. He also served as staff musician for Motown Records, Stax Records, and WJR radio. He made a very popular clarinet recording of the song " Amazing Grace" at the Grand Hotel (Mackinac Island) on Mackinac Island, Michigan.
