Robert Schuman Roundabout
The Robert Schuman Roundabout (; ), sometimes called Robert Schuman Square, is a roundabout in the European Quarter of Brussels, Belgium. It lies at the end of the Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat and serves as a focus for major institutions of the European Union (EU). It is named after Robert Schuman, one of the founding fathers of the European Union, the Council of Europe and NATO, and gives its name to the surrounding district (also known as the European Quarter) and Brussels-Schuman railway station. Leopold Quarter
The Leopold Quarter (; Dutch language, Dutch: ) is a Quarter (country subdivision), quarter of Brussels, Belgium. Antoine Varlet (, 1 August 1893, Grivegnée – 17 November 1940, Ixelles) was a Belgian architect. He specialised in luxury apartment buildings in Beaux-Arts and later Art Deco styles. European Route E40
European route E40 is the longest European route, more than long, connecting Calais in France via Belgium, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with Ridder in Kazakhstan near the border with Russia and China. Diamant Premetro Station
Diamant is a '' premetro'' (underground tram) station located in the municipality of Schaerbeek in Brussels, Belgium. The station opened on 2 May 1972. It is one of four stations of the so-called Greater Ring ''premetro'' axis built in the 1970s, which runs under the Greater Ring (Brussels' second ring road). The (French language, French) or (Dutch language, Dutch) is a major street in the Brussels and the European Union#European Quarter, European Quarter of Brussels, Belgium, running parallel to the Rue de la Loi, Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat. Both are one-way streets; where traffic in the Rue de la Loi runs in the western direction towards Pentagon (Brussels), Brussels' city centre, the Rue Belliard runs in the eastern direction, away from the city centre. The Parc du Cinquantenaire (; ) or Jubelpark (; ) is a large public, urban park of in the easternmost part of the Brussels and the European Union, European Quarter in Brussels, Belgium. Most buildings of the U-shaped complex that dominate the park were commissioned by the Federal Government of Belgium, Belgian Government under the patronage of Leopold II of Belgium, King Leopold II for the 1880 ''National Exhibition'' commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Belgian Revolution. Beliris is a joint venture between the Belgian Federal State and the Brussels Region.
