Robert S. Gold
Robert S. Gold (born 1946) is a public health researcher with focus on the applications of computer technology to health education and health promotion. He was the founding dean of the University of Maryland School of Public Health and is the current chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Education Gold earned an Associate of Science degree from Orange County Community College in 1967, a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1969, and a Master of Science degree in health education in 1971. Gold earned a PhD in health education from the University of Oregon in 1976 and a Doctorate of Public Health with a specialization in community health practice from the University of Texas School of Public Health at Houston in 1980. The labour law concept of leave, specifically paid leave or, in some countries' long-form, a leave of absence, is an authorised prolonged absence from work, for any reason authorised by the workplace. When people "take leave" in this way, they are usually taking days off from their work that have been pre-approved by their employer in their contracts of employment. Labour laws normally mandate that these paid-leave days be compensated at either 100% of normal pay, or at a very high percentage of normal days' pay, such as 75% or 80%.
