Robert Mitchell (19 May 1820 – 16 May 1873) was an English engraver, son of the engraver James Mitchell. He died at Bromley, Kent. Works Mitchell engraved in mezzotint ''Tapageur, a fashionable Member of the Canine Society'', after Sir Edwin Landseer (1852) and ''The Parish Beauty'' (1853) and ''The Pastor's Pet'', a pair after Alfred Rankley (1854). In the mixed style he engraved ''The Happy Mothers'' and ''The Startled Twins'', a pair after Richard Ansdell, R.A. (1850), and ''Christ walking on the Sea'', after Robert Scott Lauder (1854). Robert Shedrick Mitchell (March 31, 1900 – May, 1971), nicknamed "Pud", was an American Negro league catcher in the 1920s. A native of Sparta, Illinois, Mitchell was the twin brother of fellow Negro leaguer George Mitchell. He made his Negro leagues debut in 1923 for the Birmingham Black Barons. The following season, he was a batterymate of pitching brother George with the St. Louis Stars. Robert Menzies Mitchell
Robert Menzies Mitchell (October 28, 1865 – February 6, 1932) was a physician and political figure in Saskatchewan, Canada. He represented Weyburn in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1908 to 1919 as a Liberal. Biography He was born in Pickering, Canada West, the son of James Mitchell and Elizabeth Rogers, and was educated in Orangeville and at Trinity University in Toronto, where he received an M.D. in 1892. Mitchell practised seven years in Dundalk. In 1899, he came to Indian Head, Saskatchewan, later setting up practice in Weyburn. Mitchell also opened a drug store. He also served as quarantine inspector along the Soo Line from 1901 to 1902. In 1902, he married Margaret McKinnon. Mitchell was mayor of Weyburn from 1904 to 1907. He also served as chairman of the school board. He retired from practice in 1907. Robert Mitchell (1851–1929) was an Australian Presbyterian minister who became the first Presbyterian to be ordained in South Australia. Childhood Mitchell arrived in Adelaide, South Australia as an infant in 1855 with his parents, Robert and Agnes, and older brother Thomas, from Scotland. He attended Salt Creek School and North Adelaide Grammar School prior to commencing studies for the ministry in 1868. Service as Minister In 1872 he began pastoral work in Clare. In 1882 he set up a congregation in Port Augusta. In 1884 he and Rev. W. F. Main organized the Smith of Dunesk Mission. The mission's base was at Beltana and the parish covered 77,700 km². Robert Wright "Rob" Mitchell (9 June 1972 – 27 August 2022) was a British short track speed skater. He competed in the men's 5000 metre relay event at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Mitchell had a distinguished career as a speed skater, achieving success at the junior, senior, and masters levels. He first took an interest in the sport at the age of seven after watching leading racers taking part in an event in Scotland and subsequently joined the Peterborough Ice Racing Club at the age of 13. In 1986 he won the East of England Junior Championship and retained the title the following year. In 1988, at the age of 15, he won an international event at Den Haag in the Netherlands. Rob Mitchell (born 8 May 1976) is an Australian former lightweight rower. He was a 1997 world champion and twice an Australian national champion. He won gold at the 1997 World Rowing Championships in Aiguebelette in the lightweight men's eight. Club and state rowing Mitchell's senior club rowing was from the UTS Haberfield Rowing Club in Sydney.
