Robert Lang (ice Hockey)
Robert Lang (born December 19, 1970) is a Czech Republic, Czech former professional ice hockey player. Selected by the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the fifth round, 133rd overall, of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, Lang made his NHL debut with the team in the 1992–93 NHL season, 1992–93 season. He has also played for the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens and Phoenix Coyotes, with whom he retired with in 2010. Internationally, Lang played for both the Czechoslovakia men's national ice hockey team, Czechoslovak and Czech Republic men's national ice hockey team, Czech national teams, competing in four Winter Olympics (winning gold in Ice hockey at the 1998 Winter Olympics – Men's tournament, 1998), three Ice Hockey World Championships and two World Cup of Hockey, World Cups. Robert Lang (cricketer)
Robert Lang (born 6 April 1840 at Jessore, India; died 23 March 1908 at Woodham Walter, Essex) was an English amateur cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1860 to 1862 for Cambridge University. Lang was educated at Harrow, where he captained the cricket team in 1858 and 1859, and at Trinity College, Cambridge. He made 11 appearances in first-class matches: eight for Cambridge and three for the Gentlemen in the Gentlemen v Players series. By the standards of the day he was considered a "tremendously fast" bowler. In the 1860 match against Oxford University he took 1 for 9 and 5 for 10 to help Cambridge to victory, and in the 1862 match he took 5 for 4 and 4 for 31 in another victory. Lang became a clergyman in the Church of England. The Mindbenders were an English beat group from Manchester. Originally the backing group for Wayne Fontana, they were one of several acts that were successful in the mid-1960s British Invasion of the US charts, achieving major chart hits with " The Game of Love" (a number-one single with Fontana) in 1965 and "A Groovy Kind of Love" in 1966. Career Wayne Fontana founded the band in June 1963 with Bob Lang, Ric Rothwell, and Eric Stewart.
