Robert Kolendowicz
Robert Kolendowicz (; born 26 September 1980) is a Polish professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is currently the manager of Ekstraklasa club Pogoń Szczecin. International career Kolendowicz made one appearance for the Poland national team on 6 December 2006, as a second-half substitute in a 5–2 friendly win over United Arab Emirates. Managerial career In 2015, Kolendowicz joined Pogoń Szczecin's academy as a youth coordinator. He held this position until 2018, when he joined the first-team coaching staff as an assistant. In March 2024, he obtained the UEFA Pro coaching license. On 15 August 2024, Kolendowicz took on his first senior managerial role after being appointed manager of Pogoń, replacing the outgoing Jens Gustafsson. Pogoń Szczecin Spółka Akcyjna, commonly referred to as Pogoń Szczecin (), is a Polish professional football club based in Szczecin, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, which plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top tier of the national football league system. History The club was founded by Poles from Lwów (now Lviv, Ukraine), who had been transferred west after the Soviet annexation of Poland's eastern territories in 1945. The founders of Pogoń Szczecin had previously been supporters of Pogoń Lwów and the colors of their new club reflect their old club. Polonia Bytom and Odra Opole were likewise founded or revived by the former inhabitants of Lwów. The 2024–25 Ekstraklasa (also known as PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons) was the 99th season of the Polish Football Championship, the 91st season of the highest-tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927 and the 17th season of the Ekstraklasa under its current title. The league is operated by the Ekstraklasa S.A. Jagiellonia Białystok were the defending champions, after winning their first Polish title the previous season. Jens Otto Andreas Gustafsson (born 15 October 1978) is a Swedish professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. He is the current manager of BK Häcken. Managerial career On 28 May 2021, Gustafsson was named the new manager of Croatian Prva HNL side Hajduk Split. He signed a two-year contract, with the option of extending for a further one year. Gustafsson arrived at Hajduk after holding the position as manager for four and a half years at Allsvenskan club IFK Norrköping. The Polish Football Association ( PZPN) is the governing body of association football in Poland. It organizes the Polish football leagues (without the ), the national cups, and manages the men's and women's national teams. It also runs the national futsal and beach soccer competitions.
