Robert Ehrlich (musician)
Robert Ehrlich (born in 1965 in Belfast) is a Northern Irish recorder player and university professor. From October 2015 until 2019, he was rector of the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin. Previously, he was rector of the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig from 2006 to 2015. Deutsches Musikinformationszentrum (MIZ). Deutscher Musikrat: Life Ehrlich was born in Belfast. He initially studied musicology at King's College, Cambridge. In 1990, he obtained a master's degree in ethnomusicology ( M.Phil.). He then studied recorder with Walter van Hauwe at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He performs worldwide as a soloist and in ensembles, including with the Academy of Ancient Music, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and The English Concert. The ''Brandenburg Concertos'' by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 1046–1051), are a collection of six instrumental works presented by Bach to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt, MacDonogh, Giles. London International Festival Of Early Music
The London International Festival of Early Music (LIFEM) is an English music festival which is devoted mainly to baroque and renaissance music. It takes place each November in Blackheath, London, at Blackheath Halls. History The festival was founded in 1973 and initially took place at the Royal College of Music before moving to the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, and taking on the name Greenwich Early Music Festival. Each year the Festival invites performers and exhibitors from across the world to perform concerts and exhibit their goods. Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR; "Bavarian Broadcasting") is a public-service radio and television broadcaster, based in Munich, capital city of the Free State of Bavaria in Germany. The ARD International Music Competition (german: link=no, Internationaler Musikwettbewerb der ARD) is the largest international classical music competition in Germany. It is organised by the Bayerischer Rundfunk and held once a year in Munich. Since its inception in 1952, it has become one of the most prestigious classical music competitions. Andrew Manze
Andrew Manze (born 14 January 1965) is a British conductor and violinist living in Germany. Born in Beckenham, United Kingdom, Manze read Classics at Cambridge University. Manze studied violin and worked with Ton Koopman (his director in the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra) and Simon Standage (his teacher in the Royal Academy of Music). He began his musical career as a specialist in Early Music, and has recorded as a soloist for such labels as Harmonia Mundi. He became associate director of The Academy of Ancient Music in 1996. From 2003 to 2007, he was artistic director of The English Concert, with whom he recorded commercially for Harmonia Mundi. He has also conducted recordings on labels such as Onyx and Pentatone.
