Robert Cosmoc
Robert "Puiu" Cosmoc (17 July 1931 – 11 December 1997) was a Romanian professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Flacăra Ploiești and Jiul Petroșani. After retirement, Cosmoc was a respectable football manager, managing for years in the Divizia A and obtaining notable results with clubs such as: Farul Constanța, Bihor Oradea, Progresul Brăila, CSM Suceava or Rapid București. Cosmoc was also the assistant manager of the Romania national football team in the tenure of Valentin Stănescu. FC Corvinul Hunedoara
Asociaţia Club Sportiv FC Corvinul Hunedoara 1921 (), commonly known as Corvinul Hunedoara or simply Corvinul, is a Romanian professional Football (soccer), football club based in the city of Hunedoara, Hunedoara County, that competes in the Liga II. Founded in 1921 as ''Fero Sport Hunedoara'', the club bore various names over time, but stuck with Corvinul, inspired by the history of the Hunyadi family () and the local Corvin Castle. Under this name, the team achieved its best performances during the 1980s, when it was a constant appearance in the Liga I, top flight. Between 1979 and 1982, Corvinul was coached by Mircea Lucescu, who would go on to become one of the most successful Romanian managers. 1964–65 Cupa României
The 1964–65 Cupa României was the 27th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Știința Cluj against Dinamo Pitești. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, 2 pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. Each tie is played as a single leg. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. The Liga 2, most commonly spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07 football season. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company under the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Since its inception in 1934, Liga II has had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Valentin Stănescu
Valentin Stănescu (20 November 1922 – 4 April 1994) was a Romanian football goalkeeper and manager. Stănescu and Constantin Cernăianu are the only two coaches who have managed the big three Bucharest city rivals, Steaua, Dinamo, and Rapid. Club career Valentin Stănescu also known as "Tinel" or "Zimbrul" (European bison, The bison) was born on 20 November 1922 in Bucharest and started playing junior level football at age 11 in 1933 at local club Olympia București, Olimpia. Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1 and officially known as SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Romania and the highest level of the Romanian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Liga II.
