Robb Paller
Robert Paller (; born May 21, 1993) is an American-Israeli professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. On the international level, he represents the Israel national baseball team. He played college baseball for the Columbia Lions baseball, Columbia Lions baseball team, and was First Team All-Ivy League in his senior year. He has since also played in the Frontier League, the Canadian-American Association, and the United Shore Professional Baseball League. He played left field and center field for Team Israel at the Baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the summer of 2021. Early life Paller is from Brooklyn, New York. He attended the Berkeley Carroll School ('11), where he was coached by his father Walter Paller. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch Batted ball, fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the Baseball, bases. A center fielder, abbreviated CF, is the outfielder in baseball who plays defense in center field – the baseball and softball fielding position between left field and right field. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the center fielder is assigned the number 8. Sussex County Miners
The Sussex County Miners are a professional baseball team based in Augusta, New Jersey. The Miners compete in the Frontier League (FL) as a member of the East Division in the Atlantic Conference. The team plays its home games at Skylands Stadium, originally known as Skylands Park until 2014. Founded during the 2015 Can-Am League expansion, the Miners have qualified for the playoffs five times, and have won the 2018 Can-Am League Championship in four games against the Québec Capitales. The Lake Erie Crushers (often referred as the Grapes) are a professional baseball team based in Avon, Ohio. They compete in the Frontier League (FL) as a member of the Midwest Division, and began play as an expansion team in 2009. The Crushers won the 2009 Frontier Cup in their inaugural season. They defeated the River City Rascals, three games to two, after losing the first two games of the series. Bourne Braves
The Bourne Braves are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Bourne, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. Green Bay Bullfrogs
The Green Bay Rockers are a baseball team that plays in the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league. The team joined the league as the Bullfrogs as an expansion franchise for the 2007 season along with the Battle Creek Bombers. Collegiate Summer Baseball
Collegiate summer baseball leagues are amateur baseball leagues in the United States and Canada featuring players who have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. Generally, they operate from early June to early August. In contrast to college baseball, which allow aluminum or other composite baseball bats, players in these leagues use only wooden bats, hence the common nickname of these leagues as "wood-bat leagues". Collegiate summer leagues allow college baseball players the ability to compete using professional rules and equipment, giving them experience and allowing professional scouts the opportunity to observe players under such conditions. Northwoods League
The Northwoods League is a collegiate summer baseball wooden bat league. All players in the league must have National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA eligibility remaining in order to participate. The league is amateur, and players are not paid, so as to maintain their college eligibility. Graduated senior pitchers are also eligible to play in the Northwoods League. Each team may have four of these players at a time. Teams play 72 games scheduled from Memorial Day to the 2nd Saturday in August, while the playoffs take place the week after, starting on that Sunday and ending usually on Friday. The season itself is broken into two halves, with the winners of each half in each of the four sub-divisions playing against each other to determine a sub-divisional champion in a best-of-three series. Thunder Bay Border Cats
The Thunder Bay Border Cats are a baseball team that plays in the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league. The league's only Canadian team, their home games are played at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The Border Cats have been Northwoods League champions twice, defeating the Madison Mallards two games to one in both 2005 and 2008. They also were in the Northwoods League championship in 2006, but lost to the Rochester Honkers. As of 2024, the Border Cats have sent 14 players to the major leagues.
