Robb Denovan
Robb Denovan (aliases: R. Deadly, Ron Donovan, Robbo Choyan etc.) is an animator from Canada who has won international acclaim for his work. He currently lives in London, England. Robb was born to Jack and Janet Denovan on June 1, 1978, in Carleton Place, Ontario. He attended St. Mary's Public School and Carleton Place High School. Robb studied at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, from 1997 to 2001, and got his first big break as an animator in 2004, when he worked on the Oscar-winning National Film Board of Canada short film ''Ryan''. He later worked on ''The Wild'', a project for Disney. His next big project took him to New Zealand, where he worked under Peter Jackson on the award-winning film ''King Kong''. Currently, Robb works as an animator for Pixar and his work can be seen in ''Cars 2'', ''Brave'' and ''Monsters University''. Pixar (), doing business as Pixar Animation Studios, is an American animation studio based in Emeryville, California, known for its critically and commercially successful computer-animated feature films. ''The Nut Job'' is a 2014 animated comedy film directed by Peter Lepeniotis, who also wrote the film with Lorne Cameron. ''The Backyardigans'' ( ) is an animated musical children's television series created by Janice Burgess for Nickelodeon. The series was written and recorded at Nickelodeon Animation Studio. It centers on five anthropomorphic animal neighbors who imagine themselves on fantastic adventures in their backyard. Each episode is set to a different musical genre and features four songs, composed by Evan Lurie with lyrics by McPaul Smith. The Backyardigans' adventures span many different genres and settings. The show's writers took inspiration from action-adventure films, and many episodes are parodies of films. Janice Burgess had worked as Nick Jr.'s production executive since the mid-1990s. Robb is a surname of Scottish origin, formed from a diminution (reduction) of the name Robert. Robert was a popular name, especially after its use by three Scots Kings in the fourteenth century.
